IAMAW Local Lodge 37 was chartered on July 11, 1899, and dissolved in the late 1980s. Thomas Pesnicak was a member of the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO) and served as president of Local 204 in Leesburg, Virginia. In August of 1981, Pesnicak was fired alongside approximately 11,000 other PATCO members for participating in an illegal strike against the federal government. The Thomas Pesnicak collection consist primarily of photographs, artifacts, and one periodical.
